Good and joyful day today to all Christian brothers and sisters on this the day the Lord has made. Pull up a chair, pour yourself a cup of coffee, or tea, or milk, or whatever is your favorite, we’re about to slice a piece of the Bread of Life, the Word of God. And today’s slice comes in many pieces.

Let us start with this piece: 2 Corinthians 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.”
Let me start by saying that the title of today’s message is not trying to be accusatory. I only want to remind you that today’s message tells us of the dangers tugging at our coat tails that could cost us our eternity if we’re not careful.

But far beyond that, the Great White Throne Judgment lesson today shows us that we may win one of the many rooms in our Father’s mansion but lose many rewards while living in it.

Christ died so that we may receive rewards of living with Him forever. But, also, Satan by use of the worldliness we live in temps us that our deeds will be judged against us.
Therefore let me skip ahead in the message and read:

Hebrews 9:24    For Christ has entered into heaven itself to appear now before God as our Advocate….. But He came once for all time, at the end of the age, to remove the power of sin forever by his sacrificial death to us.

So we must not only evaluate the judgment seat but the hope of the day of judgment.

We, as Christians must be constantly resupply our oil, as we’re told in the parable of the virgins; or should I say resupply ourselves with the Holy Spirit. This is necessary our Christian light may shine. Perhaps we should supplant the worldliness by spending time developing our personal relationship with Jesus, through both prayer and scripture.

If we were in the process of developing a personal relationship with any person wouldn’t we be exploring, or even scrutinizing their likes and dislikes. As well as their desires; even what kind of people they like to associate with?

It’s all at your finger-tips. His Father wrote 66 books on it. Get to know Him better, He surely indicates He would like not just a friendship with you but a personal relationship.
