Synopsis of God Remembers His Covenants
Good and joyful day today to all Christian brothers and sisters on this the day the Lord has made. Pull up a chair, pour yourself a cup of coffee, or tea, or milk, or whatever is your favorite, we’re about to slice a piece of the Bread of Life, the Word of God. And today’s slices comes from:
Exodus 2:23 And it came to pass in process of time, that the king of Egypt died: and the children of Israel sighed by reason of the bondage, and they cried, and their cry came up unto God by reason of the bondage. 24 And God heard their groaning, and God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob. 25 And God looked upon the children of Israel, and God had respect unto them. Emphasis is on the word “covenant.” In today’s English we refer to a covenant as a “contract,” or an “legal agreement.
Genesis 15:13 Then the LORD told Abram, “You can be sure that your descendants will be strangers in a foreign land, and they will be oppressed as slaves for four hundred years.
Genesis 15:18 So the LORD made a covenant with Abram that day and said, “I have given this land to your descendants, all the way from the border of Egypt to the great Euphrates River –
Genesis 17:1 When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the LORD appeared to him and said, …………… 5 What’s more, I am changing your name. It will no longer be Abram; now you will be known as Abraham, for you will be the father of many nations. 6 I will give you millions of descendants who will represent many nations. Kings will be among them! 7 “I will continue this everlasting covenant between us, generation after generation. It will continue between me and your offspring forever. And I will always be your God and the God of your descendants after you. 8 Yes, I will give all this land of Canaan to you and to your offspring forever. And I will be their God. 9 “Your part of the agreement,” God told Abraham, “is to obey the terms of the covenant. You and all your descendants have this continual responsibility. 10 This is the covenant that you and your descendants must keep: Each male among you must be circumcised; 11 the flesh of his foreskin must be cut off. This will be a sign that you and they have accepted this covenant. 12 Every male child must be circumcised on the eighth day after his birth. This applies not only to members of your family, but also to the servants born in your household and the foreign-born servants whom you have purchased.
Joel 3:1 “At that time, when I restore the prosperity of Judah and Jerusalem,” says the LORD, 2 “I will gather the armies of the world into the valley of Jehoshaphat. There I will judge them for harming my people, for scattering my inheritance among the nations, and for dividing up my land.
Joel 3:20 “But Judah will remain forever, and Jerusalem will endure through all future generations. 21 I will pardon my people’s crimes, which I have not yet pardoned; and I, the LORD, will make my home in Jerusalem with my people.”
Numbers 6:27 And they shall put my name upon the children of Israel, and I will bless them.
At this time I would like to give credit where credit is due. A large part of my message is a message given by a man of God of whom Touch of Joy Ministries is glad to be considered a partner. This man, Pastor of Morning Star Ministries, Rev. Rick Joyner.
Now, I Bro. Dick, would like to turn our attention to the news of this week, the decision our country is about to make involving the country of Syria and it’s was with the rebel forces; or perhaps we should call it their civil war. In doing so let me bring you back to something I said way back on March 11th. of 2011 where I ended my broadcast with a statement. Let me replay the Post Script comment I made at the end of that broadcast.
“ Keep your eyes open to small incidents. Think about Syria and Iran. Think about one word….“Syri-iran.” ….“Syri-iran.” Here we are nineteen months later we find ourselves facing Syria. But, Bro. Dick where is Iran in all this?
The front in Syria is the rebel group comprised of mainly al Qaeda supported by the Muslim Brotherhood. They are Sunni Muslims. The Assad regime is a vassal state, ( that is a controlling state ) of Iran, governed by Shiite Muslims. What this boils down to is which group of Muslims is going to control the Middle East, and potentially, establish a worldwide Caliphate. A Caliphate is a representative of Mohamed same as the Pope is the representative of St. Peter. This Caliphate’s objective is to usher in the end time peace of Islam. These two entities kill each other over this ambition when they are not killing others that they perceive as a threat to their plan. An ancient prophecy about Ishmael and his descendants is in play–Genesis 16:12: “his hand will be against every man, and every man’s hand against him; and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren.”
Enter the United States, using it’s influence to “normalize” the Muslim Brotherhood–a group dedicated to establishing a worldwide Islamic Caliphate, (a representative of Mohamad). The Muslim Brotherhood stated creed is: “Allah is our goal; the Messenger is our guide; the Koran is our law; Jihad is our means; and martyrdom in the way of Allah is our inspiration.”
Now, in an effort to do the Muslim Brotherhood and al Qaeda bidding in Syria, America is trying to convince the world that America needs to strike Syria with it’s military power, by using the story of humanitarianism–chemical weapons were used and the US needs to step in.
The United States involvement means that our nation will support the enemies of God–the one true God, YHVH. Islam vehemently denies that Jesus is the Messiah. Islam denies that God had a son. Both Sunni and Shiite agree on these points. This is the most violent and antichrist theo-political system in the history of the world. 2 John 7 says, “For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ (meaning the Messiah) is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.” The United States is aligning with both the enemies of the state in al Qaeda and the Muslim Brotherhood —– AND —— the enemies of God in the antichrist system. There is a warning in all this in that there are and will be consequences raining on the just and the unjust alike.
But, Bro. Dick what can we do. May I suggest that we each bring out as much ammunition as we can muster and place it in our closets. The ammo I speak of is our ability to pray for our country and it’s leaders. You don’t need a scope to fire this ammo. Set your site on God the Father and just aim at the whole sky. My friends it is the biggest weapon we have. It works better than votes, law suite, marches, letters to congress, voicing our opinions, complaining, sending emails, facebook, or any other social media. You don’t have to purchase stamps to send them. If you are old like me and can’t bend your knees just bend your head and bend your heart.
Our prayer is that we, America, would turn back to God that which is His to begin with. What is that? Bro. Dick? It is our country, the country of Israel, His church, that’s us. Turn back to Him our lives we are trying to live for ourselves, our desires, our wants, our needs. Pray….. “Lord, what would you have me do?” Am I saying what You want me to say? Am I doing what You want me to do? Am I voicing my opinions or Yours? Am I voting for that which will benefit me or that which will benefit Your Kingdom Come, Thy Will be Done? Lord, I have chosen, along with my parents, Adam and Eve, the tree of knowledge, and have put my trust in it. Now, I am searching for the tree of life, lead me back to the center of the garden, Father.
