Synopsis of The High Calling of God (Eunuchs for Kingdom’s Sake)
We are about to slice a piece of the Bread of Life, the Word of God. And today’s slice comes from: Song of Solomon 1:7
KJV Tell me, O thou whom my soul loveth, where thou feedest, where thou makest thy flock to rest at noon: for why should I be as one that turneth aside by the flocks of thy companions?
NLT “Tell me, O my love, where are you leading your flock today? Where will you rest your sheep at noon? For why should I wander like a prostitute among the flocks of your companions?”
I’ve often spoken of why we must have our own personal relationship with the Lord and not just follow others. We see an exhortation for this in the slice I’ve just read. You see this book of the Bible was written for those whose life’s pursuit is to become the Bride that our Lord so deserves. In other words, if we are just in the flock of Christ’s companions, the veil will remain and we will only indirectly be able to see His glory and be changed by it. This is why my goal in ministry has never been to make people my personal disciples, but to help everyone I can to become a personal disciple of Jesus Christ Himself.
His sheep who know His voice, not His lambs. While we are young in the Lord, we will have to follow others until we learn to know His voice, but our hope is to have our own veils removed and also those of all we can help along their way. We must see Christ to be changed into His image, not just become the image of one of His friends.
What would any man think if his children all looked like his best friend? We need to consider what we’re doing when we’re leaders who are trying to get people to conform to us rather than to Christ.
One of the encouraging things Rick Joyner was shown when he was given the vision of the Harvest Ministry twenty-five years ago was that there would be a generation of the most powerful messengers ever to walk the earth and all will be “eunuchs for the kingdom’s sake.” Yes, I said “eunuchs for the Kingdom’s sake This will not be eunuchs in the natural but in the spiritual. Just as natural eunuchs cannot even have a desire for the bride, but receives all of their satisfaction out of seeing the king’s pleasure in her, so these will be for the Lord. Their whole desire will be to see the King’s pleasure in His bride, the church. Their devotion will be to see the church become what He wants, not what they or anyone else want. These are the true friends of the Bridegroom. In fact the title of today’s message is: The High Calling of God, but it’s sub-title is Eunuchs for the Kingdom’s Sake.
Have you noticed that there are no grandsons or granddaughters of God in Scripture? Everyone is first generation to Him. Our ultimate goal in ministry should be that regardless of what happens to us, if we were to die or fall away, those we have taught would not even miss a step in their pursuit of God.
For this reason, I try to preach and teach in a way that anyone at any level of maturity can understand and receive, but sown in almost every message is a call to those who are in pursuit of what the Apostle Paul called “the high calling of God in Christ Jesus” (see Philippians 3:4).
This is important to recognize and absorb as we enter a season of multiplication. Yes, we are entering into a whole dimension of multiplication. Do you realize that there are more twins being born now than in the known history of mankind. I believe this is a sign of double portion and a sign that God is paying back for the abortions, for the children that were taken. We have seen the enemy steal, kill and destroy, and I believe God is saying that we are entering a season of multiplication. In this season there will be a clearer distinction between the sons of darkness and the sons of light occurring. As the sons of darkness are seemingly intensifying across the earth, the sons of light will begin to shine brighter and brighter. We were told so in
Proverbs 4:18 But the path of righteous is like the light of dawn, that shines brighter and brighter until the full day.
And in Psalm 37:6 He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, the justice of your cause like the noonday sun.
WOW. Then what does Isaiah 60:1 say: Rise up and shine, for your light has come. The shining- greatness of the Lord has risen upon you.
I believe the earth is about to see the ushering in of the true Bride of Christ. A Bride, that is the church, without spot or wrinkle as is told in EPH 5:25
Also the tree spoken of in Psalm 1:1, representing man, is about to become a widespread reality. Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
The reason we’ve been going through the hardships, pain, and suffering these past years has been to facilitate the growth of our spiritual root system deeper into the Lord. In arid, dry terrain, where rain and water are sparse, trees will invariably grow their root systems deep into the earth to find the water they so desperately need to survive. Some of us have felt as if we’ve been in a wilderness, where water has been scarce. All around has been parched topography. In addition, we’ve been stripped (pruned) of many things, and it’s been painful.
But, we’re about to tap into a dimension of the Holy Spirit that is going to cause our tree to blossom and bloom seemingly overnight. The nourishment of the Holy Spirit is going to flow up the root system and bring new found vitality and refreshment.
The question is are you ready for this season of multiplication, this High Calling of God? If your root system has gone down deep enough and is about to hit a vein of untapped living water that is going to flow up the root system, through the tree trunk, and into the branches. But….. think about this…. The fruit of your tree is not for self-consumption. God is making you fruitful so that others can eat and be sustained in this hour of famine – your fruit is for the nations. Your lush, green leaves will also serve as shade from the scorching heat that is about to befall the earth. God has set it up so that many can assemble around you to find the protection they need. When they sit under your tree, you’ll then be able to share with them the love of the One who would also have them flourish – if they choose to put their roots in Him.
