I BELIEVE LOT ‘S MOB IS BACK
Sub-title: Family – Faith – Integrity – Responsibility

Good and joyful day today to all Christian brothers and sisters on this the day the Lord has made. Pull up a chair, pour yourself a cup of coffee, or tea, or milk, or whatever is your favorite, we’re about to slice a piece of the Bread of Life, the Word of God. And today’s slice comes from:

Genesis 19:1 That evening the two angels came to the entrance of the city of Sodom, and Lot was sitting there as they arrived. When he saw them he stood up to meet them, and welcomed them. 2 “Sirs,” he said, “come to my home as my guests for the night; you can get up as early as you like and be on your way again.” “Oh, no thanks,” they said, “we’ll just stretch out here along the street.” 3 But he was very urgent, until at last they went home with him, and he set a great feast before them, complete with freshly baked unleavened bread. After the meal, 4 as they were preparing to retire for the night, the men of the city – yes, Sodomites, young and old from all over the city – surrounded the house 5 and shouted to Lot, “Bring out those men to us so we can rape them.” 6 Lot stepped outside to talk to them, shutting the door behind him. 7 “Please, fellows,” he begged, “don’t do such a wicked thing. 8 Look – I have two virgin daughters, and I’ll surrender them to you to do with as you wish. But leave these men alone, for they are under my protection.” 9 “Stand back,” they yelled. “Who do you think you are? We let this fellow settle among us and now he tries to tell us what to do! We’ll deal with you far worse than with those other men.” And they lunged at Lot and began breaking down the door.

Why do I bring up this passage at this time? I believe with this, he was describing the days prior to His coming to the behavior in which humanity was living in the times of Noah and Lot.

In my opinion, the events of much of the populace we watch on the nightly news are clear evidence that this generation is replicating the same spirit that was released before Lot was saved from Sodom’s destruction,

The entire narrative is a frightening parallel to events that are now developing in America just in the past few years.

In this passage two angels who appeared in the form of men entered Sodom to confirm that the wickedness was great and the time for Sodom’s destruction was eminent.

The both old and young men surround Lot’s house demanding to “know them” the two strangers in their town. Now, the phrase “know them” in Hebraic text means to know them “carnally,” or experience them sexually. Lot tries to persuade them to not do such a thing to his guests.

Not only do they ignore Lot’s hospitality to guest but rebuke him for rebuking them for wanting to do so. So, they began to threaten him if he continued to resist their desires.
“We will deal with you worse than with them,” they demanded. Yes, they were ready to do violence to fulfill their lusts.

Think about it; our society is beginning to reverse itself. Some men “feel” that they are women. Women “feel” that they actually a man trapped in a woman’s body. Men want to be with men sexually, and women with women. Police are called “pigs.” Hated protesters are beginning to seek clemency for drug dealers and perverted individuals. They call good evil, and evil good. Are we not becoming a world up-side-down?

Their passion for evil created within them a violent nature, willing to harm others, who were not supportive of their wickedness. They were willing to do violence to people, property and personal belongings to fulfill their lusts.

When I see protesters screaming, throwing rocks, burning cars and breaking glass for no reason other than their hate, or demanding everyone see things their way or else violence will ensure, then I know we are in a very dangerous time.

Paul, in 2 Timothy 3:1 called our day “perilous times.” The Greek word perilous means “fierce and dangerous.” This is the same words used to describe the demon possessed man in Matthew Chapter 8, who was extremely “fierce” or “violent.”

In fact….. let’s stop right here h-e-r-e, and hear h-e-a-r what Romans 1:22 says about such….

Claiming themselves to be wise without God, they became utter fools instead.
